Our school thrives because of amazing volunteers like you who give their time, talents, and energy to support students, teachers, and events throughout the year. PLEASE NOTE: all volunteer opportunities require a VIP badge and registration through HaysCISD. Follow the steps below and click the link to register!
Become a VIP Volunteer
Before you can start volunteering at Sunfield Elementary (or any Hays CISD campus), you’ll need to become an approved Hays CISD VIP(Volunteer in Public Schools).
This quick and easy process helps keep our campuses safe and welcoming for all students, staff, and families.
Please be sure to complete your VIP application at least two weeks before your first volunteer event so there’s plenty of time for the background check and for you to receive your volunteer badge.
Step 1: Get Approved
Start by completing the Hays CISD VIP (Volunteers in Public Schools) application. This includes a background check and usually takes just a few days to process.
Step 2: VIP Badge Once you’re approved, email a photo of yourself to: sfes.vips@hayscisd.net. Please allow 2–3 days for processing. You can then pick up your printed badge at the Sunfield Elementary front office.
Step 3: Get Involved
Once approved, you’re ready to jump in! Browse upcoming volunteer opportunities below and sign up for any events, programs, or needs that interest you.
APEX Fun Run Volunteers
Volunteer to help mark off shirts with a sharpie at each lap that our students run! Sharpies will be provided.

Scholastic Book Fair Volunteers
Help bring the magic of reading to Sunfield! Volunteers play an important role in making our Scholastic Book Fair a wonderful experience for students and families.
